The Tecate wars

 shopped at Wal-mart
"How can these prices be so low?"
He bought a case of Tecate for old times sake
"To think four million Americans died to secure the rights
to a beer made in Mexico."
The General had done alright by the war although his pension had been raided by
an agreement made in the teens called the TPP.
"I think TPP stands for Toilet Paper Products because it wiped my shit out."
He had bet heavily on heavy metals knowing that the price of American made beer was
intricately linked to a heavy metals mine in China.
After the Russians stole flight MH370 for the airplane cloaking technology the General
had taken his retirement.  The great beer drought of 2016 put enough money in his bank account to fund his EnergyRight trailer home, BMW, and air conditioning for far more years than he could live.
He pushed his cart down aisle k37.
He opened a can of expresso, drank it down in one gulp,
and put it back on the shelf.
