my favorite bagel 

                                      was cream cheese, jam, and cashews 

                                                          on garlic

                                that and a large cup of coffee

                     

we avoided the ESP seminar 

                                              we knew it would suck

my dad had a '69 E type jaguar

       he commuted in it

    

                                       hard to imagine 

I had a '63 Ford Fairlane 

      we paid fifty dollars for 

                                             it was running on three cylinders

it used to rain a lot back then 

          but my housemate came home with cartons of cigarettes 

                              from his job at the movie theatre

 because 

    they stopped selling them
