I gambled

with your mothers money

  But she was gone 

to be with her sisters

  You watched tv and laughed

  I came up short

    bluffing didn't work

     My hands trembled 

when I bluffed

so I had to give it up

any fool could read me

you could see it on their 

face

  so I had to quit
