We used to eat margarine
on our toast, baked potatoes, rice, anything
you would normally put butter on
It was supposed to be good for you
less FAT
came in sticks wrapped in brassy colored foil
It got so butter didn't taste good
I wanted margarine
now the FDA says partially hydrogenated fats
are NO GOOD FOR YOU
after what, a hundred years they figure this out?

My mom has a giant tub of this weird white oily stuff
in the cabinet - no refrigeration...that should be the first sign you shouldn't eat it
