 A million days

In a circle
Unlike your face
Which was not a straight line

 China Person

What is that

That ain't right

Nor uncle this

69 bitch!

 Highway Ramblings

Sing a deep
Saturday night song
For the possum
Or a prayer

For the the furry
In his lair

 The plains of India

Were unknown to the Sioux
They had bison worship head dresses
With no tikka masalla sauce
Or naan
Wtaf?

 I had a Mercury tidings

Pretty sweet they said
You're a lucky fuck!
But fuck them! What do they
Fucking know?
Fuck them!

W.A. Foote Hospital August 25, 1960

I was born in a "foot hospital"
My mom kept the newspaper from the day I was born
In Jackson, Michigan
A convict ("a three time loser")
Was at the same hospital the day I was born
And tried to escape
The front page of the newspaper
Showed a plant box in the lobby
With crushed plants where a fight between
The convict and his guard had taken place
He had tried to get the guards gun
But the guard shot him dead
In a "foot hospital"

 I tried to

But sometimes shit sucks
Not to be negative
But dang

 It can't all be bad

There's coffee
And some good things to eat
Some mountains and nature aren't bad
But dang

 Jack Cookie

Owned a rancho in south city
His longhorns were treated like family
His nacho factory ran every day
Except Sunday because
Our Lord and the NFL

Who do you think you are?!

Mr Cookie
Is the name
Please use it

 There was a gravity

It was inherent in plastic boats
There was a multitudinous effigy
Of desire
Or so they said
I searched the fender of a Porsche
Cest la vie!

Maybe I should drink the rest

Of the booze
Woot!
Life sucks!
But I'm drunk!
(Not a positive poem
My next one will be much better
I promise)

I've got a place in my heart

Where you belong
Near Bodega Bay
Searching for Oysters
On the half shell

 Some carried wool

Some were unknown
To Mississippi police
The back roads offered solace
And a route to freedom

The mustache of your backwards dream

Was interrogated by numerous detectives
Was it a green pool or blue?!
Answer!!
I left with my lawyer and we had cheeseburgers, fries and a couple shots of Jäegermeister.
The evening was warm and humid.

 Was there a prime entity?

Is Gravity proof time exists?
Is blue hair dye a message from aliens?
Stay tuned!
Same Bat Channel!

 I was the ambergris twin

Puked up from a whale
Slimey and stinky
But not worth a hundred thousand

i got a friend in Jesus

I'll go to the place that's the best
Norman Greenbaum knows

 The equestrian statutes

Were Confederate soldier laws
Enacted in a bygone era
Their breeches were grey
And their boots dusty
And bloodied

 I'll have a little gummie

To fucking calm down
The landlord did some work on the roof
After the last rain dripped heavily in my room
I don't have a lot of faith in his workmanship
And it's supposed to rain tonight
La dee da

 I didn't buy any booze

And now I can't sleep
La dee da

 The towers loomed bright

Oh thank God!
For the sidewalks at night
With a half moon shining bright
It was temperate with a slight breeze
When you walked out

 The Creature lurked

Around the corner
You knew it was there
It had always been there
With hair on its face
And dripping fangs and talons
Wearing torn dungarees
And Buster Brown shoes
But it needed to pee

 What does it matter?

It doesn't matter!
Not in the long run
Or even the short run
Is there a short run?
What am I talking about?

 The Morgan pied

Eye sore
Breaking the current
Of a swollen blood vein
"Some were too good for their
Own selves!"
Others lied about
The dead
And some wrote shit

 A Slam book cuss page

Ended us up in the Principal's office
I took the blame saying it was my book
One kid cried
But Karl Quimby wouldn't apologize
He thought the whole thing was stupid
And Mr. Rose was a jerk!
Hats off to KQ!
Another day in elementary school

 Drama class student

Said I was cynical
But I thought
I'm just calling it like I see it!

 You had the eyes

Of a rainbow in March
But April showers
Bring the flowers
Or so they say

 That garage

Was cold and
Dark a two car garage
With one car
A white sedan
Hardly driven

 Some tree sap day

The snow was still there
Around the broken washing machines
At the end of a walk in the woods

 Enticed

By divisive entreaties
You who wore frayed corduroy
And cheap sneakers
There was a there there
But not here

 The marijuana petulance

Smells like a dealers living room
As he regales you with tales of why Viking women have mustaches
Or stories about 9-11
And you can't wait to get the bud and gtfo
So you and your friends can laugh their ass off
And then get Taco Bell and large Dr. Peppers

Don't try to do the right thing at Peet's

White women will show you
No good deed goes unpunished
Elon Musk will be there laughing at you
With horns on his head

 Pervasive

Is your middle name
Tyroid McAlluster
Pizza eating
Motherfucker
Deep into the night
Of Italy
And Slovakia
You shunted a briney hello!
How's yer ma?!
But there was no response
To Putin's death cry

 A Lioness

Purloined the Camaro drives
Unto 1979
Music hits
There was starch pants
And diamond linoleum
A seeded sweating half cut six pack
Said
What up

 The tabernacle!

Across an empty barren landscape
You sought the "triad"
It was enveloped in cream
You said This is Ridiculous!
But a somewhat honorable man in dark, dirty clothes
Shook his dusty, flaking, balding head!
"We are the children of God!"
He said
-To respond-
you walked away
And got an Icee at 7-11
Oh thank heaven!

 Green was sorrow

Everlasting green
Shine!
Beneath the darkness
A moon smiles at you
But you have no memory

 There was a yesterday

Imagine if you will
A Carl Sagan and
Billions and billions of stars
A Bob Ross painting
A perm
Why? Who knows?
Mister Green Jeans knows
And so does the professor!
But he's still stuck on the island
A three hour tour

 There was a giant hole

Where his life should have been
He thought maybe it was in the Tetons
Or Big Sandy Opening in Wyoming
In 1970
listening to John Denver's
Country Roads
In a red VW Squareback

The retard wore a silk coat

His mind was elsewhere
It didn't care about the beautiful young woman
In the pink taffeta dress
He stared at the wall
And wondered about the intersection where
The 9 bus and the 53 met
If it would be raining at 10:12
Or if it would have stopped
He went to the back of the room and
Decided to buy a hot dog

 The borrowed

An old Leica camera
Was in the box
He grabbed it and put it in his coat
Years later he would take a picture
Of a man in Guadalajara
Eating a taco

 A journey to New York

On a Greyhound bus
From Boston
He wore his Grandfather's overcoat
And he looked pretty damn good

 A path to glory

The needless were subject to truncated trials
The part was anamorphic
Some had black hair
Some wore grey flannel
Treason was amongst the mindful and
The ridiculous

 The hedgehog

He stood on a path in New England
Holding a chocolate croissant
Wondering where she was

 A dream

Had to be shaken
F that
I'll read the phone
And then go back to sleep
Said the seven eyed blue giant

 Emotions ran high

Amongst the populace
"Those bastards are fucking everything up"
We'll fight for our rights
Said your friend

The creature of the white lagoon

Mesmerized by his phone
He articulated WSJ articles not redundantly
The streets were his lost belief
He funneled a lifetime of Hot Wheels
And friends childrens
And knew not what he was talking about
Something about Mt. Tamalpais
On mushrooms in the nineties

 A green ladder gecko

Eating mosquitos in
Mayan beachfront property

The bloom was on the parchment

A thousand years hence
His bowl was wrapped
In the mind of his mind
He said but if
But there was no if
What he saw is what there was
 Of course he was

Not entirely resolved
Like a Toyota Tacoma type
He was more of a Taco Bell or Wendy's
Type he said

 Some jumped the game

They were an entirety
But not miss placed by those going to Sevilla
Some were black chess pieces
Some had spaghetti
Some were waiting in the wings
For a sidewalk seance

The Queen ate a snail and died

'Twas a small beast
And cooked properly
But her highness
Was made ill
And subsequently
Passed away
Her nephew a small lad not yet nine became King
Words were whispered

 Four an twenty

By gum
We had a broken long rifle
I bashed his head in with the stock
Give thanks to our Lord
And many a day were before us
As we walked from Shreveport
To Mexico
Thinking of tamales

 The drunken boat

Was mired in redskin pursuits
We fled the massapequa
At a clip
Their painted faces
Were all the notice we needed

 Christopher Smart

Was kind of crazy
Said the gray whale to the sunfish
And so on and so on

 In an answer

The hurry to answer
Was no longer considered
A poor excuse
For comeliness
Or non-comeliness
Such are the times we find ourselves in
The craven walls of dripping stone
Twenty feet high are really no barrier
To the thoughts of comeliness
Still your hair
Needs brushing

 The river has no end

siddharta cried beneath a bodhi tree
Until the book by Hesse came out
And he was all damn I'm famous
This begging bowl is empty

 There were no enemies

Nor illusions
What there is is what there is
Grass wood asphalt
Your fucking dad
Lol
And a car with blue chipped paint
In a garage in Melrose, Massachusetts

 A moon sign planted

In the dark
A stolen file
To break the bonds
That hold you here

 I have a mirror

With an apple
Red
Sleeping Beauty
Why!
Why not!

Mooch the pooch the dog you own

Where do tortillas come from?
Where does death begin?
Whoa! Dude!
Lol

 Trashy trash

Down the street
Hey stfu
Behind dark glasses
La dee da!
(Yelling at their dogs)
   (A sure sign)

 The Farm

Was in the way
So they bulldozed
And put in a four lane hiway

 A cretin

Drooling on his Ralph Lauren suit
Took off his spats
And proceeded to read
Ulysses by James Joyce
(Actually it was a Two Gun Kid
Comic book)

 Across the frozen tundra

Across the skree
Broken rocks for a hundred miles
I read a book about an expedition tasked by the Queen of England
To sail to the North Pole
-After they accomplished this they were to find a
Northern Passage above Canada-
The author of the book was a junior officer on the
Expedition
His father
was a portrait painter of English aristocracy
The Jr. Officer was put into the Royal Navy at age ten!
At one point on their progress to the North Pole they
Loaded the ships onto the ice and proceeded to drag the boats
Fifty miles on the ice northward
The navigator then took a reading of their location and
It turned out the ice
Had been traveling south
And they'd gone southward a hundred miles
I liken this to my life

 I read a poem

That kicked ass on any of my shit
But ya know
I'm just a regular person

 I'm drunk

After my walk
And a stop for two tacos, steak
With cebollas y cilantro
Nada mas
Well, some chips

 I left you happy

In an '89 car
With a cassette playing
Gone with the wind

 The April Winds

Blew like thin feral horses
In a Nevada backwash
You stood like a movie title
Against a black background
And the trailer voice proclaimed!
How magnificent it was!

You had a memory like a sieve

Oh Collander Beauty
Spaghetti eyes and arms
Red sauce between your legs
I danced for Parmesan
And Garlic

 I've seen you

In your silent way
Singing to yourself
Thinking you were on stage
But now you're just crumbs on the table

 I walked the totem tribune

Across white bread proclamations
Your eyes were battened
With the flood
I purchased a white bull
But he had no milk
I thought about tomorrow
But it was already here
