made by my sister Jane

Jane covered the ceiling with a batik

I painted a white racing stripe 

On the hood 

The paint is a faded unidentifiable color

Dad bought it for twenty five dollars

in Livermore CA in 1973

I painted a (stencil-like) high contrast image

of John Lennon screaming 

on the drivers side door

"Early one morning when we first met

soon to be divorced"

blasts out of the hidden speakers above the back seat

also covered with batik

Hot days and cold nights 

Smoking marijuana and getting drunk
