torn pages

some would care not
illiberal non editing
but those parts 
   of luminous numinous
 the mountain trail
among fir and
dirt
   surprising no
they admonish
and yet quote
  why the pilgrimage
if you
don't see "eye to eye"
   he's no angel
         ruined
himself
 hard to see
    the desolation
speaks to many
