I'll wait 

   for the corn 

 to cook

     breathing in and out 

 sirens blaring 

                            outside the open window 

   fire engines

    is it quiet 

   though 

     i dunno

    i've lost the 

   ability 

  to truly feel

 did i ever have it 

    crying isn't it 

                that's a response

   oh just be 

  who you are 

   and forget it 

  maybe ? 

      no 

 that's not it 

         breathe 

 in and out 

and keep doing that
